Scott Marzolino enters his fifth year as the head coach of the Madonna women's golf team in 2009-10.  Marzolino became the second head coach in the program's history on August 16, 2005.

"We are very pleased to have a person like Scott at Madonna University," stated Madonna athletic director Bryan Rizzo.  "Scott is a very organized, detail oriented person with great knowledge of the game and is someone who we believe can take our women's program to the next level."

In his four years at the helm, Marzolino has made significant improvements to the program, most recently guiding the Crusaders to a first place finish in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) and qualifying for the NAIA National Championships in May 2010 in Rapid City, South Dakota.  The exclamation point on the 2009 conference season included two Crusaders (Sarah Simnitch, Michelle Hall) being selected to the All-WHAC first team, one (Chelsea Bathurst) selected as honorable mention and Marzolino being named WHAC 2009 Coach of the Year.

Marzolino was also elected as the WHAC women's golf chair for the 2007-08 season and has held the post since that time.

A 1990 graduate of Grand Valley State University, Marzolino earned his Master of Science from Wayne State University in 1993 and has continued his executive education at Tulane University in 2003 as well as at the University of Notre Dame in 2008.  He currently works as a Client Executive for Dell Corporation.  The 41-year-old Marzolino and his wife Dina have three daughters, Alyssa, Adrienne and Emily.
