ALL-STAR BASKETBALL CAMP - $200 per player

June 21-25 (Monday -Friday) Week 1

Boys Ages 8-15

9 am to 3 pm

The Camp during the week of June 21-25 will be held at the Livonia Recreation Center located on five mile road, between Farmington and Merriman Rd. in Livonia

Hot Lunch will be available at week 2 and week 3 camps for $6 per day or $30 for the week (individual days or the entire week can be purchased ahead of time or on the day of camp)

 

All-Star Basketball Camp is one of the best summer traditions in Metro Detroit. ABC teaches dozens of drills, games, and contests so that no two days of camp are the same. The camp focuses on teaching fundamental basketball in a fun and exciting way that inspires the next generation of hoop stars. All-Star Camp provides instruction that starts with early bird competitions and does not end until each team has played two games a day. Each day campers will have the opportunity to experience the SHARK TANK and guest speakers. All-Star Basketball Camps are the finest combination of fun and exciting drills and competition for young players. Your son will receive instruction from college coaches and players that is second to none.

Coach Emenhiser enters his second year as Madonna University's Head Men's Basketball coach and director of the All-Star Basketball Camps. Last summer more than 300 players took part in an All-Star Basketball Program. As a player at Madonna University, Emenhiser set several career and single season scoring records on his way to establishing the career scoring mark at over 2,000 points. After completion of his college career, Emenhiser played professional basketball in Portugal for the Sporting Club of Braga before returning to Madonna University.

 

Bernie Holowicki

All-Star Basketball Camp Founder

 

The summer of 2010 will mark the 36th year of All-Star Basketball Camp for legendary Coach Bernie Holowicki. Coach Holowicki brought the camp to Madonna University when he took over the Men's Basketball program in 1995. During his 30 plus years of coaching at the high school level coach Holowicki tallied 612 wins, including the 1976 state championship at Catholic Central. Coach Holowicki's passion for teaching the game has been what makes All-Star Basketball Camp one of the best in Metro Detroit.

The third annual All-Star Perimeter Camp is one of the top guard camps in Metro Detroit. This hard-hitting camp will focus on the fundamentals of what it takes to play the Point Guard, Shooting Guard and Small Forward positions at the High School and College Level. In true All-Star fashion, the Perimeter camp will provide you with instruction from college players and coaches.

The second annual All-Star Big Man Camp is geared for the serious post players who want to take their game to the next level. The camp will focus on post position and moves with back to the basket as well as face up moves. The camp will also teach shooting fundamentals, offensive and defensive rebounding technique, and post player ball handling instruction. The Big Man Camp will give you the tools to continue improving long after the week of camp is over.

The summer of 2010 will be the first year that the perimeter and big man camps will be held simultaneously. Players will receive detailed instruction by position in ball handling, shooting, passing, communication, rebounding and defense. Perimeter players and post players will drill independently for the majority of the camp and players will come together each night for league play to hone the skills being taught.
