LIVONIA, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - The Madonna University men's soccer team opened its home schedule on Saturday (August 28) and fell by a 1-0 final to the University of Windsor at Greenmead Field.

The Lancers scored the game's only tally in the 52nd minute when Darrin Dielemans dribbled into the six-yard box and beat MU keeper Parker Laabs low to the right side of the net for a 1-0 lead.

The Crusaders posted just one shot on goal against Daniel Mendonca in the first half and could not crack the score board in suffering their first loss against two wins.

MU returns to the field on Sunday (August 29) with a 12pm exhibition against Heartland CC at Greenmead Field.
