KANSAS CITY, Mo. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced its 2010 Men's Golf Scholar Athlete team and Madonna University senior Justin Taurance (Wyandotte, Mich./Roosevelt) was selected for his work in the classroom.
Taurence is being honored for the second time in his career. One of the Crusaders four seniors, Taurence is also a two-time Academic All-Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference selection.
To be selected a student-athlete must be nominated by each institution's head coach, maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
Madonna captured its first ever WHAC title last fall and advanced to the 2010 NAIA National Championships for the first time in program history.
