SILVIS ILL. - - The Madonna University men's golf team is on the course for day three of the NAIA National Championships at TPC Deere Run. After 36 holes the Crusaders sit in 22ndposition overall in the programs first Championships appearance.
Junior Brett Quitiquit (Highland, Mich./Milford/Oakland Univ.) has led the way each of the first two rounds for Madonna shooting a three under par 68 on day one and even 71 on day two. Quitiquit is one of two players remaining under par for the Championships and is just one stroke back of the lead coming into Thursday.
The Crusaders will look to move into the 17thposition or better to move on to the fourth and final day of the Championships. After 54 holes the field will be reduced to the top 17 teams and 40 individuals.
