KANSAS CITY, Mo. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - The NAIA announced the pairings for days one and two of the 2010 Men's Golf National Championships on Friday (May 7) and the Madonna University men's team will match up with No. 2-ranked Oklahoma Christian and No. 12-ranked Indiana Wesleyan in the opening days of the event at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.

The Crusaders earned the program's first ever bid to the national summit by winning the 2009 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championship (and claiming the league's automatic bid) by a single stroke over Cornerstone. The WHAC's automatic bid is determined during the fall season.

Following a practice round on May 17, the Crusaders start action on day one (May 18) with 7:45am tee times followed by 12:45pm tee times on day two of the event (May 19).

The 156-player championships field is comprised of 21 automatic qualifying teams from NAIA affiliated conferences and unaffiliated groupings and seven at-large selections, which are determined using the final Top 25 rating released on April 30. Saint Ambrose (Iowa) qualifies as the host institution. Nine individuals earned a spot in the event through automatic qualification and two were at-large selections.

The tournament field is cut after 54 holes and reduced to the top 17 teams and 40 individuals (including ties) to complete the 72 hole, stroke play event.
