FINAL RESULTS

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - -
The Madonna University men's golf team completed its regular season schedule on Monday (April 26) by placing second at the Cereal City Shootout held at the Battle Creek Country Club.

The Crusaders sent two squads into the 36-hole competition. The MU Blue team shot a total score of 626 (309-317) to place second and the MU Gold team shot a 649 (326-323) to place third.

Junior Jimmy Uelmen (Ferndale, Mich./Dondero/Oakland CC) shot back-to-back rounds of 77 to place third as an individual and lead the Blue team. Senior Steve South (Westland, Mich./Franklin) shot rounds of 83 and 79 to lead the Gold.

Joining Ulemen on the Blue team were: Juniors Tommy Lucko (Livonia, Mich./Churchill/Oakland CC) with rounds of 74 and 84, Brett Quitiquit (Highland, Mich./Milford/Oakland Univ.) who carded rounds of 81 and 76 and fellow junior Austin Stillman (Livonia, Mich./Franklin) who turned in rounds of 86 and 85. Rounding out the Blues was sophomore Nick Sears (Clio, Mich./Flint Powers Catholic) who had rounds of 77 and 80.

On the Gold team senior Kyle Lawrey (Grand Blanc, Mich./Flushing/Mott CC) turned in rounds of 72 and 83 while junior Ronny Pollack Jr., (Southgate, Mich./Anderson/Wayne County CC) made his MU debut with rounds of 80 and 75 and freshman Tyler Skiba (Ossineke, Mich./Alpena) debuted with rounds of 82 and 86. Senior Tom Voyer (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon) shot 82 and 90 in his season debut.

The Crusaders return to action on May 18 with the opening round of the 2010 NAIA National Championships at TPC Deer Run in Silvis, Ill.
