GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the 2010 Men's Basketball Award Teams late Wednesday (Feb. 24) night and three Crusaders were among the student-athletes honored in a vote of the league's nine head coaches.

Freshman Kevin Henry (Toledo, Ohio) led the awards for MU by being named to the All-WHAC third team as well as the league's all-newcomer team. Henry - who missed last season - led Madonna in scoring with 13.1 points per game and 94 assists. Henry also ranked fourth on the team in rebounding, averaging four boards a night.

Joining Henry on the awards docket was junior Ryan Bahnmiller (Commerce Township, Mich.) and sophomore Mitch Cieslak (Brighton, Mich.) Bahnmiller was selected to the Academic All-WAHC team as a junior or senior who has registered at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average. Cieslak was named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team as the student-athlete who best lives out the NAIA's five core values on and off the court.

The Crusaders ended the 2009-10 season on Wednesday night (Feb. 24) in the WHAC Quarterfinals with a 7-23 record under first-year head coach Noel Emenhiser.
