GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - The Madonna men's basketball team fell at Davenport 84-62 in the WHAC quarterfinals on Wednesday night to end the Crusaders season.
 
MU ends the season at 7-23 overall under first-year head coach Noel Emenhiser.
 
Ryan Waidmann (Canton, Mich.) led MU, just missing a career high, with17 points while senior Jordan Hoke (Grand Rapids, Mich.) set a new career-high of his own with 11 points in his final game in a Madonna uniform. Freshman Fred Williams (Oak Park, Mich.) set a career-high with his 10 markers in the loss.
 
The game was tight early on but a 12-4 run by DU midway through the half put the Panthers on top 34-18 heading into halftime.
 
Coming out of the break, the Panthers went up by as many as 25 points before the Crusaders went on a run - sparked by three triples from Hoke - that pulled MU back to with in 14 with 10:25 left.
 
From there it was all Panthers as DU pushed its lead back out to 20 and finished with the 22-point win, 84-62.
 
The Crusaders bid farewell to three seniors - Leroy Allen (Detroit, Mich.), Simon Mulwa (Kajiado, Kenya ) and Hoke - who all played in their final games tonight.
