Noel Emenhiser announced Monday (Feb. 15) that he has signed Livonia Stevenson product
Bobby Naubert (Livonia, Mich.) to a letter of intent. Naubert will continue his academic and athletic careers at Madonna University starting this fall.
"I am very excited that Bobby has chosen to continue his education and basketball career at Madonna University," commented Emenhiser after the signing. "Bobby possesses all of the qualities that we look for in an athlete: He is an excellent student, an exceptional basketball player, has a tremendous work ethic and he has great character. Bobby has had a very successful high school career at Livonia Stevenson under Coach Mike Allie and we look forward to him being a big part of the future of Crusader basketball."
The 5-9 Naubert has been named the SHS Student-Athlete of the Month three times in addition to earning an academic letter, scholar athlete and Cum Laude academic honors the last three years.
On the court Naubert earned three letters at Stevenson and led the Spartans to a state district title as a junior (2009) en route to being selected as his team's most valuable player. Naubert was named to the All-Kensington Lakes Activities Association and all-area first teams as a junior (2009) in addition to being selected to the all-metro third team.
Naubert is the second signing for Emenhiser, joining Ann Arbor Fr. Gabriel Richard product
Matt Jenkins (Plymouth, Mich.), who signed earlier this season.
The Crusaders close out the regular season with a pair of home games this week, starting with a Wednesday (Feb. 17) game against Michigan-Dearborn. Tip-off is slated for 7:30pm inside the Activities Center.
