GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - All-tournament selection Leroy Allen (Detroit, Mich.) scored 12 points but would be the only Crusader to reach double-figures as the Madonna University men's basketball team struggled, shooting 32 percent from the floor, falling 76-51 to Grace Bible College in the third-place game of the Russ DeVette Holiday Tournament inside the DeVoss Field House on the campus of Hope College.

Freshman Kevin Henry (Toledo, Ohio) added nine points and a team-high eight rebounds for MU. Allen Durham led all players with 17 points and 12 rebounds for Grace Bible.

The first four plus minutes of the game saw Madonna jump out to an early 9-4 lead, keyed by a three from Henry and jumpers from sophomore Mike Clark (New Boston, Mich.) and Allen. Grace Bible pulled back to with in one at 9-8 with 14:12 left in the half before a three from sophomore Tyler Coker (Whitmore Lake, Mich.) put MU back up by four at 12-8.

A 5-0 Tiger run pulled the two sides back into a tie (12-12) but another Coker jumper put the Crusaders back in front 14-12 with 13:11 to go. That lead was short lived as Grace Bible saw a Cory Jamieson three go down to put the Tigers on top 19-18.

GB extended its lead out to as many as 10 late in the half but a three from junior Ryan Bahnmiller (Commerce Township, Mich.) with 13 ticks left pulled MU to with in seven and sent the two teams to the locker rooms with Grace Bible on top 32-25.

llen pulled MU to with in five points just 16 second into the second half scored six of MU's next eight points to help pull the Crusaders to with in three, 38-35, with 15:50 to go.

A
fter an 8-0 GB run put the Tigers' lead into double-digits at 11 (46-35), the Tigers never let the Crusaders get any closer than nine points and a 19-3 run over the last seven plus minutes sealed up the 76-51 win for Grace Bible.

Tonight's game marked the end of the 2009 portion of the 2009-10 season and the Crusaders kick off the 2010 portion on Saturday, hosting Marygrove College at 12pm inside the Activities Center. The Crusader Radio Network will have the game live with Kevin Wade providing the play-by-play starting at 11:55am.

NOTES
* The Crusaders were a perfect 6-for-6 from the line.
* Tyler Coker tied his season-high with seven points.
* Freshman Fred Williams established a new career-high with four rebounds.
