NAIA RELEASE

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2009 NAIA Women's Soccer All-American Scholar Athlete team Sunday (Dec. 6) and six Madonna University student-athletes were honored.

Leading the way were seniors Jessica Austin (Livonia, Mich. /language arts), Lauren Hess (Livonia, Mich./nursing) and Jaclyn Ventimiglia (Macomb, Mich./nursing) along with junior Sarah Rokuski (Algonac, Mich./dietetics) and redshirt sophomores Diana Brda (Westland, Mich./psychology) and Brittany Warner (Canton, Mich./marketing).

To be selected, a student-athlete must be nominated by their head coach and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better and be a junior or senior academically.

All six were named to the WHAC's all-academic team earlier this season.
