KANSAS CITY, Mo. - - The NAIA Baseball Coaches Association announced its 2010 NAIA Preseason Top 25 Poll on Wednesday (Nov. 18) and the Madonna University baseball team found itself ranked at No. 21 in the inaugural poll for the upcoming season.
 
MU returns six starters from last season's WHAC regular season championship team including all-conference selections: Senior first baseman/designated hitter Zach Flavin (Novi, Mich.), junior outfielders Matt Kay (Canton, Mich.) and Shawn Little (Canton, Mich.) along with junior catcher Tarik Khasawneh (Canton, Mich.).
 
The Crusaders posted a 39-12 mark in 2009 and ended last season at No. 16 in the country before advancing to the NAIA World Series Opening Round as an at-large selection. MU opens the 2010 campaign in February.
