LIVONIA, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - Madonna University head women's golf coach Scott Marzolino announced Tuesday (Nov. 10) that Grand Blanc High School standout Kaitlyn Brasher (Grand Blanc, Mich.) has signed a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Madonna starting next fall.

"Kaitlyn brings a great resume to our program," commented Marzolino, the 2009 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. "She has been a winner at the high school and junior level and I have no doubt that will continue here at Madonna."

Brasher is a three-year letter winner for the Bobcats and is coming off of a senior season that saw her captain the GBHS squad to the state regionals where the Bobcats finished second. Individually Brasher was tabbed as an all-state selection after being named her team's MVP and to the Big 9 all-conference team. Brasher helped the Bobcats to the 2007 Big 9 conference championship as well as the Michigan High School state championship that fall as a sophomore.

The Madonna University women's golf team captured the 2009 WHAC championship and the league's automatic bid to the 2010 NAIA National Championships in May.
