BOX SCORE

ADRIAN, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - An early goal in the first half held up as No. 21 Siena Heights ended the Madonna University women's soccer team's season by a 2-0 final on Saturday (Nov. 7) in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Semi-Finals at Zollar Field.

In a series of events eerily similar to the last time these two teams met just over two weeks ago, SHU got on the board early as Susie Palushaj scored for the Saints in the fourth minute.

The 1-0 lead held through halftime when the Crusader offense came to life as MU outshot SHU 10-6 in the second 45 minute put could not find the back of the net.

Palushaj scored her second goal of the match in the 82nd minute for the 2-0 final.

The Crusaders end the season at 6-13 overall and bids good bye to a seven member senior class of: Jessica Austin (Livonia, Mich.), Lauren Hess (Livonia, Mich.), Gina Leone (St. Clair Shores, Mich.), Lia Melasi (Fenton, Mich.), Kaila Moore (Howell, Mich.), Rachel Thompson (Livonia, Mich.) and Jaclyn Ventimiglia (Macomb, Mich.).
