GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - The Madonna University men's cross country team closed the 2009 season on Saturday (Nov. 7) at the WHAC Championships at Riverside Park.
With just four runners able to finish the race, the Crusaders could not post a team score in their final event of the year.
Freshman Danny Pratt (Flushing, Mich.) was the top runner for Madonna, placing 46th with a time of 30:10. Fellow freshman Luke Mion (Medina, Ohio) was next MU, placing 54th with a time of 34:43, just eight second ahead of sophomore Mitch Cieslak (Brighton, Mich.) who crossed the line in 32:51, good for 55th place. Coming in fourth for MU and 59th overall was junior Bryant George (Detroit, Mich.) with a time of 35:51.
The Crusaders will return to the course in the fall of 2010.
