SPRING ARBOR, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - After taking a one-point lead into the locker room at halftime, the Madonna University men's basketball team saw the University of Windsor rally to take home a 79-62 in at the Jamieson-Allen Insurance Agency Tip-Off Classic inside the SAU Field House on Saturday (Oct. 31).

Bryant Slaughter (Westland, Mich.) led Madonna with 16 points while senior
Leroy Allen (Detroit, Mich.) scored 12 point and tied for the team high with six rebounds. Nigel Johnson-Tyghter led all players with 19 points for Windsor.
Madonna trailed by as many as 12 in the first half before a 9-0 run over a 2:15 span brought the Crusaders back to even at 27-all with 3:30 left. The two sides traded baskets and were again tied, this time at 31-31 before a Slaughter triple put MU up three. A UW score as time ran out brought the Lancers to with in one at 34-33 heading into the break.
Windsor took the lead just over a minute into the second half on an Andre Smyth three and never gave it up the remaining 19 minutes as the Crusaders struggled from the free throw line, missing 19 times from the charity stripe, falling 79-62.
MU opens the home slate next Saturday (Nov. 7) when Huntington comes calling for a 6pm game inside the Activities Center.
