GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - The Madonna University men's cross country team took part in the NAIA Great Lakes Challege on Saturday (Oct. 24) to prepare for the upcoming WHAC Championships that will be run on the same course in Riverside Park.
With just four runners, the Crusaders did not post a team score but freshman
Tim Boes (Westland, Mich.) led MU running the 8k course in 29:07. Another pair of freshmen were next to cross for MU as
Dan Pratt (Flushing, Mich.) and
Luke Mion (Medina, Ohio) crossed in 29:33 and 30:36. Rounding out the Crusader contingent was sophomore
Mitch Cieslak (Brighton, Mich.) with a time of 31:38.
The Crusaders will take next weekend off to prepare for the 2009 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships in Grand Rapids on Nov. 7.
