LIVONIA
, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - Madonna University honored seven seniors Saturday at Stevenson High School as the Crusaders played host to the No. 24 ranked Siena Heights University Saints.

Madonna seniors Lauren Hess (Livonia, Mich.), Kaila Moore (Howell, Mich.), Gina Leone (St. Clair Shores, Mich.), Jaclyn Ventimiglia (Macomb, Mich.), Lia Melasi (Fenton, Mich.) Rachel Thompson (Livonia, Mich.), and Jessica Austin (Livonia, Mich.) were honored with a special ceremony before their final home regular season game. 

Siena Heights jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when they scored their first shot of the day in the eighth minute of action. The goal would prove to be enough to hold off the Crusaders who were unable to crack the Saint's defense.

Madonna dropped the decision by a 1-0 final score, with the loss Madonna moves to 5-11-0 for the season and 4-6-0 in conference play.

Siena Heights stays atop of the WHAC at 12-2-2 overall and 9-0-1 in conference action.

The Crusaders will return to action Wednesday, October 28, when they travel to Cornerstone to take on the Golden Eagles in a WHAC showdown. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
