BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - - The Madonna University men's cross country team ran for the first team as a team in the 2009 season on Saturday (Oct. 17) at the Falcon Invitational and placed 19th.
Freshman Tim Boes (Westland, Mich.) led MU running hte 8k course in 28:47. Fellow freshman Dan Pratt (Flushing, Mich.) ran a 31:46 while a third rookie - Luke Mion (Medina, Ohio) crossed the line in 32:10, returning to his home state.
Sophomore Mitch Cieslak (Brighton, Mich.) ran a season best 32:13 while junior Bryant Slaughter (Detroit, Mich.) made his season debut, crossing the line in 35:29.
The Crusaders return to the course on Saturday (Oct. 24) when they travel to get a preview of the course where the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championships will be run, for the NAIA Great Lakes Regional Invitational.
