LANSING, Mich. - - The Madonna University women's cross country team returned to the course on Saturday (Oct. 3) and placed eighth in the Lansing Community College Invite.

Junior Kari Saarela (Livonia, Mich.) led MU, coming in 32nd after covering the 5k course in 20:22. Sophomore Cassie Yarnall (Clarkston, Mich.) was 37th with a time of 20:38. Senior Emma Czaplicki (Farmington Hills, Mich.) was 41st, running 21:06. Devan Walley (Livonia, Mich.) placed 43rd, crossing the line in 21:09 while sophomore Emily Bambach (Livonia, Mich.) rounded out the MU contingent, crossing the line in 21:19 while placing 44th.

The Crusaders return to the course on Oct. 17, running in the Falcon Invite, hosted by Bowling Green State University.
