CANTON, Mich. - - The Madonna University men's golf team shot a team total of 300 on Saturday (Oct. 3) to come in second at WHAC Jamboree No. 6. The Crusaders finished three shots behind Davenport and six ahead of Cornerstone.

Brett Quitiquit (Highland, Mich.) led MU as part of a three-way tie for second with even par rounds of 72. Junior
Jimmy Uelmen (Ferndale, Mich.) and sophomore
Nick Sears (Clio, Mich.) tied for 17th with rounds of 78. Junior
Tommy Lucko (Livonia, Mich.) and senior
Steve South (Westland, Mich.) fired rounds of 79 and 80 to place 19th and 23rd.
The Crusaders' six shot win over Cornerstone puts MU in front by 10 shots in the overall race for the WHAC title. MU wraps up the WHAC slate on Oct. 19 in WHAC Jamboree No. 7, hosted by Cornerstone at Quail Ridge Country Club in Ada, Mich.
