Behind a third place finish from sophomore Chelsea Bathurst (Livonia, Mich.) the Madonna University women's golf team took home its third straight WHAC Jamboree crown on Wednesday, besting Indiana Tech by four shots to remain in first place in the overall WHAC standings.

Bathurst turned in an 86 on day two to finish in a tie for third with a two-day total of 169. Freshman Michelle Hall (Flushing, Mich.) was seventh with an 89 on Wednesday for a total of 174. Junior Sara Simnitch (Swartz Creek, Mich.) tied for 10th with a 181 total while fellow junior Caitlin Steele (Livonia, Mich.) was tied for 14th with a total of 184. A third junior Mariel Meyers (Westland, Mich.) tied for 27th to round out the MU contingent.

The Crusaders wrap up the WHAC slate next week, starting on Tuesday at Phesant Run Golf Club in Canton before wrapping up play Wednesday at Walnut Creek Country Club in MU's home part of the loop schedule.
