MARIAN, Ind. - - A goal from Kaila Moore (Howell, Mich.) in the 23nd minute gave the Madonna University women's soccer team a lead against No. 12-ranked Indiana Wesleyan but the Wildcats came back to claim a 2-1 win on Wednesday (Sept. 23) night at the Wildcat Soccer Complex.

Moore finished off a pass from sophomore Diana Brda (Westland, Mich.) to put the Crusaders on top 1-0.

IWU got the equalizer in the 30th minute from Megan Marshall. Brittany Smith then put the Wildcats in front 2-1 with a goal in the 43rd minute. That goal held up as the game winner for IWU.

Brittany Warner (Canton, Mich.) made nine stops for MU and Moore accounted for both of the Crusaders' shots on goal.

The Crusaders return to the pitch and to league play on Saturday, hosting Concordia at Noon in the opener of a MU soccer double header. The MU men take on the Cardinals at 2:30pm
