COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. - - The Madonna University women's golf team sits in first place by eight shots over Indiana Tech after day one of the third WHAC Jamboree of the season.

Sophomore Chelsea Bathurst (Livonia, MIch.) led MU with a round of 83. Backing up Bathurst's efforts were junior Sara Simnitch (Swartz Creek, Mich.) and freshman Michelle Hall (Flushing, Mich.) who each turned in rounds of 85. Junior Caitlin Steele (Livonia, Mich.) carded an 88 while fellow junior Mariel Meyers (Westland, Mich.) rounded out the MU contingent with a 99.

The Crusaders continue Jamboree Three on Thursday with another 18 holes, this time at Stonewater Country Club in Caledonia, Mich.
