TECUMSEH, Mich. - - The Madonna University women's golf team overcame a four-shot deficit after day one of WHAC Jamboree No. 2 - at the Tecumseh Country Club - to take home a four-stroke win over Aquinas and maintain its lead in the overall WHAC standings.

Junior Sara Simnitch (Swartz Creek, Mich.) tied for fourth with a two-day total of 173. Freshman Michelle Hall (Flushing, Mich.) finished one place behind Simnitch with a 174 total and a team-low 87 on Saturday and junior Mariel Meyers (Westland, Mich.) was in eighth with a 178. Chelsea Bathurst (Livonia, Mich.) tied for 11th with a 183 while Caitlin Steele (Livonia, Mich.) ended up 17th with a 188 over the two rounds.

MU returns to the course on Wednesday, starting WHAC Jamboree No. 3 in Comstock Park, Mich.
