NOTRE DAME, Ind. - - The Madonna University men's cross country team ran in the Open Race at the 2009 National Catholic Championship at the Notre Dame Golf Course on Friday (Sept. 18). With just three healthy runners, the Crusaders did not figure in the team scoring.

Freshman Dan Pratt (Flushing, Mich.) led the Crusaders, covering the five mile course in 29:51 to place 33rd. A pair of freshmen rounded out the MU contingent as Tim Boes (Westland, Mich.) ran 30:16, good for 39th place while Luke Mion (Medina, Ohio) was 59th with a time of 32:42.

MU takes next week off before returning to the course to race in the Lansing Invitational on Oct. 3.
