GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - - Senior Steve South's (Westland, Mich.) even-par round of 72 was good for third place individually as the Madonna University men's golf team was second at WHAC Jamboree No. 4 hosted by Aquinas College at The Highlands at the Elks CC on Wednesday (Sept. 16).
 
MU's total of 301 keeps the Crusaders in first place in the overall WHAC standings, four shots ahead of Cornerstone.
 
Junior Brett Quitiquit (Highland, Mich.) was one shot behind South, carding a 73 to place fourth while a pair of juniors - Tommy Lucko (Livonia, Mich.) and Jimmy Uelmen (Ferndale, Mich.) turned in matching rounds of 78 to tie for 17th. Senior Kyle Lawrey (Grand Blanc, Mich) and sophomore Nick Sears (Clio, Mich.) carded rounds of 80 and 83 to finish 20th and 25th respectively.
 
The Crusaders break away from league action on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 18-19) to take part in the Malone Fall Classic in Alliance, Ohio.
