KENDALLVILLE, Ind. - - The Madonna University women's golf team closed the USF Fall Invite by nine shots to shoot a 340 and place fourth on Tuesday (Sept. 1) at the Cobblestone Golf Links.
 
For the third straight round freshman Michelle Hall (Flushing, Mich.) led the charge, carding a 78 on Tuesday, improving by four strokes from Monday's opening round. Sophomore Chelsea Bathurst (Livonia, Mich.) improved five shots, turning in an 83 while junior Sara Simnitch (Swartz Creek, Mich.) lowered her score by three shots to card an 84.
 
The Crusaders swing back into action and open the conference slate on Wed. (Sept. 3) in WHAC Jamboree Number One, hosted by Cornerstone.
