Chelsea Bathurst carded an 88 on day one of the USF Fall Invite

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. - - The Madonna University women's golf team sits in fourth place after day one of the USF Fall Invte at the Noble Hawk Golf Course. The Crusaders turned in a team total of 349.
 
For the second straight round freshman Michelle Hall (Flushing, Mich.) had the low round for MU, turning in an 83. Junior Sara Simnitch (Swartz Creek, Mich.) was next for the Crusaders with a round of 87 with sophomore Chelsea Bathurst (Livonia, Mich.) right behind her with an 88.
 
Juniors Mariel Meyers (Westland, Mich.) and Caitlin Steele (LIvonia, MIch.) turned in rounds of 91 and 95.
 
"The weather was almost perfect today," commented head coach Scott Marzolino. "The team did a nice job dealing with the very fast greens and we are playing well."
 
MU wraps up the USF Fall Invite with day two on Tuesday (Sept. 1).
