LOS ANGELES, Calif. - - Making his second straight start in front of a national television audience, former Madonna University golfer Charlie Haeger earned his first win of the season for the Los Angeles Dodgers by throwing seven innings on Saturday (Aug. 22) in a 2-0 win over the Chicago Cubs on the Fox Saturday Game of the Week.

Haeger - who improved to 1-1 on the season and 2-2 all-time at the Major League level with the win - allowed just three hits in seven-plus innings of work. He struck out seven while not allowing a run to help LA improve to 74-50 on the year and remain in first place in the National League West race.

In his two starts in the Majors this season Haeger has struck out nine hitters in 14 innings of work. The Dodgers look to complete a sweep of the four games against the Cubs on Sunday.
