LIVONIA, Mich. - - Madonna University baseball recruit Brad Lineberry (Canton, Mich.) has been selected to play in the 2009 Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game slated for June 16 at Comerica Park.

The game, which features the top prep players from across the state of Michigan, is in its 28^th season and has seen former Madonna players take part in the past including 2008 selection and redshirt freshman right hander Jeremy Gooding (Livonia, Mich.).

Lineberry - an infielder - is one of seven signings thus far for 2009 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Coach of the Year Greg Haeger and his staff. Joining Lineberry as freshmen this coming fall at MU are: Outfielder Tom Atkinson (Lachine, Mich.), outfielder Alex Charles (Farmington Hills, Mich.), left-handed pitcher Brett Gossett (Farmington, Mich.), catcher Donny Holland (White Lake, Mich.), outfielder/infielder Steve Pelletier (Farmington Hills, Mich.) and right-handed pitcher Tyler Schofield (Windsor, Ont.).

The Crusaders - 39-12 in 2009 - are coming off of the most successful season in school history including a WHAC regular season championship and the program's first appearance in the NAIA National Tournament.
