Junior Justin Taurance was tabbed as a NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete
 
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Thursday (May 21) its 2009 Men's Golf All-American Scholar Athletes and a pair of Madonna University men's golf student-athletes were honored.
 
Senior Elliott Oscar (Reedsburg, Wisc.) and junior Justin Taurance (Wyandotte, Mich.) were both selected for their work in the classroom.
 
Oscar is making his second straight appearance on the team while Taurance is being honored for the first time.
 
To be selected a student-athlete must be nominated by each institution's head coach, maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
 
The Crusaders finished second in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference and return seven letter winners for the 2009 fall season.
