KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The 2008-09 NAIA Division I & Division II Men's Basketball Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes have been announced and among the 198 student-athletes recognized was Madonna University senior forward Drew Coker (Whitmore Lake, Mich.).

Coker, a dietetics major, is making his second appearance on the national list, repeating his honor from the 2008 season. A two-time All-Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference all-academic team pick, Coker is also a two-time selection to the WHAC's Champions of Character team as the student-athlete who best exemplifys the NAIA's five core values.

In order to be a recipient of the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, the student-athlete must fulfill these requirements: the recipient must be a junior or above in academic standing; has been in attendance at the nominating institution a minimum of one full year and have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) at the time of nomination at the nominating institution.
