HOWELL, Mich. – Nicolette Vultaggio (SO/Chesterfield, Mich.) added two more goals on Wednesday to give her six goals in the past two games as the Madonna University women's soccer team blanked the Cleary Cougars 4-0 at Page Field.

  • For the second straight game the Crusaders registered their first goal within the first 12 minutes as Emma Camp (SO/Canton, Mich.) found Vultaggio for a 1-0 lead with 11:06 gone off the clock.

  • Twenty minutes later Megan Roth (SR/Farmington, N.M.) scored her first goal of the season and third in her career with an assist from Julia Henning (JR/Shelby Township, Mich.) for the 2-0 advantage.

  • Both second half tallies came in a four minute span as Caitlyn Lefebvre (SR/Dearborn, Mich.) found Jamie Moceri (SO/Sterling Heights, Mich.) in the 61st minute to make it 3-0 then Moceri fed Vultaggio in the 65th minute for the game's final goal.


  • With a pair of tallies, Vultaggio has scored double digit goals with 10 through six games

  • Moceri led MU's 15-shot attack with four as she put two on goal

  • The Crusaders had nine shots on goal in the contest while the defense limited Cleary to just eight shots with three on frame

  • Camp, Alexis Bozinovski (JR/Macomb, Mich.) and Hannah Alston (SR/Sterling Heights, Mich.) each had two shots with all six being on frame

  • Goalkeeper Julia Stewart (JR/St. Clair Shores, Mich.) improved to 5-0-1 and recorded her fourth consecutive shutout

  • Madonna's defense has allowed just two goals in six games with the last tally coming in the 87th minute on Sept. 2 against Trinity International


  • The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 20 as they put their shutout streak and unbeaten record on the line against NCAA II Ferris State. The Bulldogs will visit the Madonna Athletics Complex with kickoff slated for 4 p.m.
