FORT WAYNE, Ind.. – The Madonna University women's soccer team scored in the first minute and the 86th minute and three more times in between en route to a 5-0 win over the University of St. Francis (Ind.) at Bishop John D'Arcy Stadium on Saturday night.

  • It took just 57 seconds for the Crusaders offense, which has scored 10 goals in the past two games, to get on the board as Marissa Parisek (FR/Macomb, Mich.) scored her second goal in as many games

  • Eight minutes later, Emma Camp (SO/Canton, Mich.) added to the lead with her second goal of the season and second in as many games and then in the 26th minute Alexis Bozinovski (JR/Macomb, Mich.) netted the third Crusader tally

  • The second half was the Jamie Moceri (SO/Sterling Heights, Mich.) show as the Crusaders' forward scored twice in the final 45 minutes to send MU home with a 5-0 win

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

  • Moceri paced the Blue and Gold with four shots with all four on frame and two finding the back of the net

  • Camp, Bozinovski and Nicolette Vultaggio (SO/Chesterfield, Mich.) added three shots apiece with Camp putting all three on goal while Vultaggio put two on frame and Bozinovski's lone shot on goal landed in the net

  • Senior goalkeeper, Julia Stewart (JR/St. Clair Shores, Mich.), and the stout MU defense continued its strong play as Stewart stopped the only shot she faced

  • Madonna attempted 19 shots with 14 on goal while the Cougars had just one shot in the contest and put it on frame

  • The Crusaders return to the pitch in two days for their home opener against Point Park with kickoff slated for 4 p.m. at the Madonna Athletics Complex.
