LIVONIA, Mich. – The Madonna University men's bowling team, led by second year head coach Brian Bressler, have added four key recruits that were some of the best the state of Michigan has to offer and should help propel the Crusaders onto the NAIA bowling scene in year two of the program.

"It was a challenging first season, but the team learned a lot and improved throughout the season," said Bressler. "These four young men have consistently been some of the best bowlers in the state throughout their prep careers and I expect them to come in and compete for starting spots right away. I'm excited for what this group can do for our team."

Chase Castro - 5-10 - Beaverton, Mich. / Beaverton HS

  • Mid-Winter Singles Champion in 2016
  • Three-time Jack Pine MVP (2015-17)
  • Four-time First Team All-Conference (2014-17)
  • S&R Tournament Champion
  • Three-time State Qualifier (2015-17)
  • Finished fourth at 2017 state finals

Cole Ordiway - 5-5 - Sanford, Mich. / Meridian HS

  • Honor Roll in 2014
  • Three-time All-Conference selection
  • 2017 State Qualifier
  • High game of 287

Justin Schmitz - 6-0 - South Lyon, Mich. /  South Lyon East HS

  • Four-year varsity letterwinner
  • All-State honoree in as a senior
  • Academic All-State award winner in 2017
  • Team MVP senior year

Lucas Treece – 6-3 - Clinton Township, Mich. / Chippewa Valley HS

  • Two-time All-Academic Team in Bowling & Football (2015-17)
  • Academic All-State honoree as a senior
  • First Team Macomb County as a senior
  • First Team MAC Red in 2017
