RESULTS | ADRIAN, Mich. – The strong outdoor season for the Madonna University track and field program continued on Thursday at the Don Kleinow Invitational as they recorded 26 personal records, 12 school records and one NAIA Automatic Qualifying Standard.
For the third consecutive meet, Tony Floyd (FR/Westland, Mich. ) recorded an NAIA standard and his second straight automatic qualifying mark as he won the 10,000m in 30:51.48, the second fastest time in the NAIA this season. Last week Floyd hit the auto mark in the 5000m.
Bailey Hervey (FR/Southfield, Mich.) and Andrew Chant (FR/Wayne, Mich.) each set a pair of school records in the sprints. The duo both won the 200m with Hervey finishing in 26.21 while Chant posted a time of 22.55. Hervey also took fourth in the 100m (12.98) with Chant placing third in the 400m (49.76).
Alison Shapic (FR/Madison Heights, Mich. ) continued to improve in the 5000m as she shaved another 25 seconds off her time, finishing fifth in the event with a school record time of 18:21.45. Karlie Gallagher (SR/Livonia, Mich.) set the record in the 1500m where she finished third in 4:48.77, Kierra Cooper (FR/Ann Arbor, Mich.) pushed her top mark in the long jump to 5.10m (16-8.75) where she placed seventh and Samantha Haddad (SO/Livonia, Mich.) increased her school record in the hammer throw to 29.73m (97-6).
On the men's side, Matthew Cohan placed 11th in the 800m with a school record time of 1:59.02 while Shawn Deese (SO/Plymouth, Mich.) and Seth Globke (JR/Willis, Mich.) each set school records in the field events. Deese, who finished second in the shot put with a mark of 14.06m (46-1.5), also set the record in the hammer throw where he was 11th with a throw of 44.35 (145-6). Globke set his record in the javelin where he placed 13th with a mark of 33.63m (110-4).

The Crusaders continue their inaugural outdoor campaign on Friday and Saturday, Apr. 21-22 at the Al Owens Invite hosted by Grand Valley State University in Hillsdale, Michigan.
