RESULTS | AUGUSTA, Mich. – In their final regular season tournament, played at the same site as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship, the Madonna University women's golf team carded a 339 and sit sixth after the first round of the Shootout at Stonehedge, hosted by Lawrence Technical University.

Karen Zambrano (SO/Madrid, Colombia) led the Crusaders with an opening round 77 (+5) to tie for second, one stroke behind individual leader Hannah Stradling of Cardinal Stritch. Ayla Bogie (SR/Clio, Mich.) joined her Madonna teammate in the top 10 as she finished round one tied for ninth with an 82.

Natalie Blazo (SR/Dearborn, Mich.) tied for 30th with an 89 on day one with Kelsey Edwards (SO/Ortonville, Mich.) rounding out the team scoring with a 91, tied for 32nd.

The University of Northwestern Ohio, ranked 21st in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, is tied with Siena Heights atop the round one leaderboard after each posted 326's. Cardinal Stritch is third with a 331, Davenport is fourth with a 333 while the host Blue Devils round out the top five with a 334.

The final round of the Shootout at Stonehedge will take place tomorrow, Saturday, Apr. 15.
