Floyd Named WHAC Menís Track Athlete of the Week

LIVONIA, Mich. – The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference honors on Monday and Madonna University freshman Tony Floyd (FR/Westland, Mich. ) has been named Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of April 3. 

Floyd continued his impressive freshman season as he hit the NAIA Automatic Qualifying standard in the 5000m, winning the event in 14:44.45 which is also a school record and the sixth fastest time in the NAIA. The Westland, Michigan native also ran in the 4x800m relay at the George Glass Invitational on Saturday.

This is Floyd's third weekly honor of the season.
