FORT WAYNE, Ind. - - The Madonna University men's golf team returned to the course and is in a tie for eighth place after 18 holes at the USF Spring Invite at Autumn Ridge Golf Club.

The Crusaders shot a team total of 319 and trail leaders Lindenwood Belleville and Mt. Vernon Nazarene by 16 shots. 

Connor Humitz (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson) leads Madonna and is in a tie for fifth after a 3-over par round of 75 playing as an individual.  Eric Attard (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson) is in a tie for ninth with a 76. John Tatti (Canton, Mich. / Plymouth) is tied for 26th with a 79 while Nick Corbeil (Romulus, Mich. / Huron) and Tyler Olson (New Boston, Mich. / Huron) are in a tie for 42nd with rounds of 82. Drew Mossoian (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson) is in a tie for 60th after a round of 86 and Eric Marsh (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson) rounds out the MU contingent with a 94 and is in 77th place.

The Crusaders wrap up the event with the second round on Saturday with another 18 holes.
