LIVONIA, Mich. - - A pair of former Crusader student-athletes – Steve Besk (men's soccer) and Anna-Marie Gatt (volleyball) - will be part of the Madonna University Senior Art Show on Saturday, March 31 in the art gallery at Madonna.
The duo are both graphic design majors and will have various pieces of their work on display with a formal program to start at 1 p.m. that features a total of eight Madonna University students.
Besk was a three-year letter winner for the Crusaders from 2007-09 and led MU to a pair of NAIA National Tournaments. He ranks fourth all-time in goals against average (0.81), giving up just 10 goals in his career. Besk's 10 career victories ties him for seventh most all-time at MU.
Gatt - who double majored in graphic design and computer technology - was a four-year letter winner (2007-10) for the volleyball team and led the Crusaders to a pair of NAIA National Tournament appearances in 2007 and 2008 as well as a pair of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) titles. She was twice named to the Academic All-WHAC Team. Gatt has designed numerous media guide covers for the athletic department, including the 2009-10 women's basketball guide cover that earned "Best in the Nation" honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The MU Art Gallery is located on the Livonia campus on the second floor of the main academic building near the library. Those who wish to view the displays can access the gallery by entering the building near Kresge Hall and proceeding to the second floor.
