MARSHALL, Mich. (MadonnaCrusaders.com) - -Led by junior Michelle Hall (Flushing, Mich. / Flushing) and her round of 82, the Madonna University women's golf team sits in sixth place among a 15-team field at the Olivet College Fall Invitational after carding a team total of 354 on Friday (Sept. 9).

The Crusaders trail the host Comets by 20 shots heading into the final round on Saturday. St. Francis is one shot behind Olivet while Calvin (340), Hope (342) and North Central (352) are between MU and the top spot.

Hall's opening round puts her seven shots behind overnight leader Carlia Canto of Calvin who fired a 3-over par 75 to start the event.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Brasher (Grand Blanc, Mich. / Grand Blanc) is in a tie for 19th with an opening round of 88 while senior Chelsea Bathurst (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson) is in a tie for 31st with a 91. Freshmen Chelsea Collura (Riverview, Mich. / Gabriel Richard Catholic) and Becca Porter (Lambertville, Mich. / Bedford) are in a five-way tie for 37th with rounds of 93. Junior Megan Fleischer (Bloomfield Hills, Mich. / Marian Catholic), who is playing as an individual this weekend, is in a tie for 52nd place, just five strokes behind Collura and Porter.

The 36-hole event wraps up on Saturday (Sept. 10) with another 18-hole round.
