FRENCH LICK, Ind. ( - - The Madonna University men's golf team returned to the course and a pair of seniors - Tommy Lucko (Livonia, Mich. / Churchill) and Austin Stillman (Livonia, Mich. / Franklin) - led the way on day one of the Thrill at the Hill as the Crusaders sit just two shots behind Missouri Baptist with an 18-hole total of 317. Indiana Tech is hosting the 36-hole event at The Donald Ross Course.

MBU leads the field with a 315 and Holy Cross is one shot behind MU with a 318. The host Warriors are tied with Bethel and Siena Heights for fourth with a 320.

Lucko and Stillman shot rounds of 78 while fellow senior Brett Quitiquit (Highland, Mich. / Milford) is one stroke behind his classmates after shooting a 79. Juniors Vince Carango (Lawton, Mich. / Lawton) and Nick Sears (Clio, Mich. / Flint Powers Catholic) rounded out the "Gold" team from Madonna with rounds of 82 and 84 respectively.

The MU "Blue" team was led by senior Jimmy Uelmen (Ferndale, Mich. / Dondero) with an 80 and fellow senior Justin Taurence (Wyandotte, Mich. / Roosevelt) carded an 81. Junior Ronnie Pollack, Jr. (Southgate, Mich. / Anderson) and freshman Erik Taurence (Wyandotte, Mich. / Roosevelt) both turned in a 90 while freshmen Kevin Robinson (Livonia, Mich. / Churchill) and Tyler Skiba (Ossineke, Mich. / Alpena) rounded out the scoring for the Crusaders with a 91 and a 92.

MU wraps up the Thrill at the Hill on Tuesday (March 29) with another 18 holes.
